Coming in at our 10th most loved Christmas movie of all time, we actually have a tie between the 2000 How The Grinch Stole Christmas (with Jim Carrey) and the more recent animated “The Grinch” from 2018 with Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of the Grinch. They are both so good, we couldn’t decide on a clear winner – so our recommendation is to watch them both this holiday season! That way you don’t miss out on any of the grinch action this Christmas…that would just be so very sad!

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a 2000 film directed by Ron Howard, based on the beloved Dr. Seuss book of the same name. The movie tells the story of the Grinch, a green and grumpy creature who lives alone on Mount Crumpit, overlooking the town of Whoville. The Grinch despises Christmas and decides to steal all the presents and decorations from the Whos, hoping to ruin their holiday. However, his encounter with a young girl named Cindy Lou Who and the kindness she shows him begins to soften his heart. With the help of Cindy Lou and the Whos, the Grinch learns the true meaning of Christmas and discovers the joy of friendship and love. Starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch, the film combines humor, heartwarming moments, and dazzling visuals to bring the timeless story to life.
