Why We Love Little Women?!

Coming in at our 20th most loved Christmas movie of all time, we have Little Women (Both the 2019 and 1994 versions are outstanding movies.) If you are ready to be transported back in time to a different era, this is a great film and worth adding to your Christmas movie rotation!
Little Women is of course a film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel of the same name. Although we are covering the 2019 film here, the original from 1994 is fantastic as well (and for that matter, pick up a copy of the book ya’ll!) The 2019 version, directed by Greta Gerwig, follows lives of the four March sisters – Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth – as they navigate their journeys from childhood to womanhood during the American Civil War era (and all the sisterly drama that ensues!) The film explores themes of love, ambition, and the pursuit of personal and artistic fulfillment. It stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, and Eliza Scanlen as the March sisters, with Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, and Meryl Streep in supporting roles. “Little Women” received critical acclaim for its strong performances, beautiful cinematography, and Gerwig’s modern take on the beloved story. If you have time, watch both the Little Women movies, they really are both worth it! Oh, and this is definitely one the whole family can enjoy together!
