I think most of us can relate to the pressure and awkwardness that can come about when meeting prospective in-laws for the first time!? We know we can! LOL Meet The Parents, is a laugh out loud movie, we love to throw on about once a year because it just makes us feel good! Dinner Scene
There are few movie scenes (from any movie) we find more hilarious than the epic dinner scene in Meet The Parents! Greg has just met his future in-laws (or at least he hopes they will be after he pops the question) and a hilarious dinner travesty ensues! From the impromptu dinner prayer delivered by Greg, to the famous cat-milking discussion, and finally to the climax of an over-zealously popped champagne cork shooting across the room in a blaze of glory destined to reek havoc (no Jinxy Cat!), the dinner scene in Meet the Parents is one that will have you laughing out loud (even if you have already seen it so many times before!)

Pool Scene
The pool scene in Meet The Parents is one of those comedy genre defining scenes that you just can’t get out of your head after you watch it! I just love how the family seems to blame Greg for being such a poor water volleyball player, and after he finally ups his game to max performance mode, the unthinkable happens! Well, you just have to watch this scene for yourself and experience the all out belly laughs sure to ensue!

Altar Fire Scene
Some might call it a Chuppa! Oh boy, how bad did you feel for poor Greg after he inadvertently set the “Chuppa” (hand carved from a single piece of wood of course…was it Brazilian wormwood?) But, you have to admit, it was a pretty hilarious ordeal to watch and one of our favorite scenes in the comedy classic, Meet The Parents. The way the director stitched scene after scene of shockingly funny dialog with antics like the altar fire scene, just keep us coming back to watch Meet The Parents again and again! Around our house, we love quoting meet the parents – De Niro as Jack Byrnes is hilarious throughout, and with Ben Stiller as Greg, this movie is one of my all time favs!
